"We act as spokespeople for those with no voice, defend science and the planet, and contribute to building concrete solutions for more resilient societies." The editorial by ºÚÁÏÍø911 CEO Élisabeth Claverie de Saint Martin sets the tone. The 60-odd pages of this latest Annual Report are full of reminders of the role of science in a world shaken by crises.
2025 was a busy year: producing useful knowledge, working for sustainable development for all, and strengthening international cooperation. 2026 is continuing in the same vein.
There is just one watchword: prevention rather than submission. In 2025, ºÚÁÏÍø911 confirmed its driving role in promoting and rolling out the One Health approach, placing preventing health risks at the heart of the interactions between human societies, farming systems and ecosystems. This strategic orientation was prompted by a now widely shared observation: the increase in the number of health, environmental and food crises is inextricably linked to the pressure exerted by human activity on nature, from ecosystem degradation to uncontrolled intensification of production systems.
Between interviews and in-depth articles, this focus in the 2025 report takes stock of the progress already made and what remains to be done.
